From 2005 to 2009 “The videoword made flesh” (Het vleesgeworden videowoord) performed at variousĀ  locations around the globe. In the Calendar section we’ve put up a list of performances we did in that period, there are also recorded performances in the Video section of the site. Through this site we keep a record of what the collective did in the past and where the ex members are working on now.

The collective consisted of 4 multimedia artists: Albert van Abbe, Roel Dijcks, Wim-Jan Smits and Ties van de Ven. We developed our own style and workflow in wich 2 members (Albert van Abbe and Roel Dijcks) worked on the audio side and the other 2 members (Wim-Jan Smits and Ties van de Ven) generated the video. In the years the audio and video merged more and more thus also the “video part”of the collective was generating the source audio and the “audio part” shaped the video.

After The videoword made flesh
After the collective was discontinued in September 2009 the members started solo projects and other projects with the old members:

Albert van Abbe and Wim-Jan Smits started Phase Alternating Line (the PAL project). A live audio/video project with analog hardware etc, visit the site for more information. They also started a grafic design company in 2009: “Moederschip” (mothership).
